DOCJOELRY (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website docjoelry.com and the DOCJOELRY mobile applications for iOS and Android (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information.

This policy is intended to meet App Store and Google Play privacy disclosure requirements as well as our obligations under applicable Philippine data privacy law. By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

We collect information that you provide, information generated when you use the Service, and limited information from service providers who help us process payments and deliver orders.

2.1 Information you provide

• Name — used to create your account, address orders, and identify you in customer support.
• Email address — used to sign in, send order confirmations, delivery notices, and (if you opt in) marketing updates.
• Phone number — used for delivery coordination, account contact, and order support.
• Physical address — billing and shipping addresses needed to fulfill and deliver purchases.
• Account credentials — password (stored in hashed form) so you can sign in securely.
• Order notes — optional delivery or gift instructions you add at checkout.
• Customer support messages — information you send through contact forms or support channels.

2.2 Purchases

• Purchase history — products ordered, quantities, prices, payment method type, payment status, and shipping status so we can fulfill orders and show My Orders in the app.
• Payment details — we do not store full credit/debit card numbers. Online payments (QR PH, GCash, card) are processed by our payment partner (iCore and related gateways). We receive payment status, transaction references, and limited confirmation data needed to mark an order paid.

2.3 Location

If you use the in-app map to pin a delivery address, the app may collect precise location (latitude/longitude) only while that feature is in use. Location is used solely to help you set an accurate shipping address. You can deny location permission and still type an address manually.

2.4 Identifiers

• User ID — an internal account identifier linked to your orders, wishlist, and bag.
• Device / push token — if you allow notifications, we store an Expo/Apple/Google push token so we can send order updates and bag reminders. You can disable notifications in device settings.
• Guest cart ID — a temporary identifier so your shopping bag can persist before you sign in.

2.5 Automatically collected data

• Log data: IP address, browser or app version, pages or screens requested, and timestamps, used to operate, secure, and debug the Service.
• Cookies / local storage: session, login, cart, and wishlist preferences on the website.

We do not collect health, contacts, photos from your camera roll (except files you optionally upload as payment proof), browsing history outside the app, advertising identifiers for tracking, or data from third-party ad networks.

3. How we use your information

We use personal data for app functionality and related business operations, including to:

• Create and authenticate your account
• Process, fulfill, ship, and support orders
• Calculate shipping (including free shipping in the Philippines and international rates)
• Send transactional emails and push notifications about orders
• Provide customer support and prevent fraud or abuse
• Maintain security, backups, and service reliability
• Comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations

If you subscribe to our newsletter or similar updates, we may also use your email for first-party marketing. You can opt out at any time.

We do not use personal data for tracking as defined by Apple (we do not link your data with other companies’ data for advertising, and we do not use the App Tracking Transparency / Advertising Identifier for cross-app tracking). We do not sell personal information.

4. How we share information

We share data only as needed to operate the Service:

• Payment processors (including iCore and related QR PH / GCash / card gateways) to start and confirm payments
• Couriers / shipping partners to deliver orders
• Hosting and infrastructure providers that store and serve the website, API, and database
• Apple and Google as required to deliver push notifications
• Authorities or professional advisors when required by law or to protect customers and our rights

These parties are instructed to use your information only for the purpose of providing their services to us, except where they act as independent controllers (for example, Apple or a payment institution under their own policies).

5. Mobile app permissions

• Location (when in use): optional, to pin a delivery address on the map.
• Notifications: optional, for order status and bag reminders.
• Network / storage: required to load the catalog, keep you signed in, and save bag items.

You can change location and notification permissions in iOS Settings or Android Settings at any time.

6. Data retention

We keep account and order information for as long as your account is active and as needed to fulfill orders, handle returns or disputes, keep tax/accounting records, and meet legal requirements. Push tokens are kept while notifications remain enabled. Guest cart identifiers expire according to our cart hold period. You may request deletion of your account; we may retain limited records where the law requires it.

7. Data security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, access controls, and similar measures to protect information. No internet transmission is completely secure. Please keep your password confidential.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is a jewelry shopping experience for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it where required.

9. Your rights

Depending on applicable law (including the Philippine Data Privacy Act), you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data, and you may withdraw marketing consent. Update many details in your account profile, or email us at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.

10. International users

If you use the Service from outside the Philippines, your information may be processed in the Philippines and in other locations where our service providers operate.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
